I paint fleeting moments from everyday life
I keep coming back to the question of why certain ordinary moments stay with us while others disappear. I paint in oil, softening and blurring parts of the image so they behave more like memory than documentation. I want the paintings to feel strangely familiar, like remembering a moment you can’t quite place.
